#Friday Favourites: Favourite things about being super busy

This week has been crazy! Make that the last few weeks actually. I have had so many opportunities come my way the past little while  and I’ve just said yes to everything, because it’s all things that I enjoy and I’m so excited about! However, I’m finding myself stretched out a little thin and I’m constantly thinking of how I’m going to fit everything in my day, and pushing things back. So, instead of getting stressed out about this, I want to focus on what I enjoy about this time of busyness.

So this weeks #FridayFavourites are about the positive side of being a busy bee!

  1. Being needed

People or projects need you, and your gifts and talent and input to complete a task. It’s a great feeling to be needed! I feel so grateful when my input is valued or if someone needs my help with something. It’s wonderful to be able to help someone. Sometimes it can be overwhelming, but what would you do if you weren’t needed? Sure, at first it would be great and you would rest and do what you want and have time to catch up on some books or TV, but then what?

  1. Discovering what is important to you.

When there is so much to do, you automatically start prioritizing and doing things that most need to be done or that you want to do. In this way, you naturally figure out what is important to you, and what you enjoy most. So if it comes down to it, you know what to let go.

  1. Better sleep.

After a long busy day of activities and work sleep is sooooooooo nice, and the bed feels like a fluffy cloud. I’ve been sleeping like a rock!

  1. Appreciating down time.

Getting that hour to yourself at the end of the day feels so much more enjoyable after working hard. Sure there are still lots of things to be done, but you know you have done as much you can and just resting, or taking time to get your thoughts together, or watching a TV show is exactly what you need.

  1. Discovering new ways of organization.

When there’s lots of things going on you have to find a way to keep track of them or things will just get lost between the cracks. That happened to me this week (whoops). I usually use a planner that says “I am very busy “ hehe and I love it, as you can see from the picture, it gets used and it’s loved. But I feel like I just can’t properly organize my thoughts and to do lists in it. I found out about the bullet journal system. That’s right, I’m going to jump on the bullet journal train! I found a notebook with the dots like the pro bullet journalists use for only $5- yay! So I’m going to give this a try. I am so excited. It looks like it has room for everything because you just fill in pages as you go, and there’s plenty of room for creativity.

What are your favourite things about having a busy schedule?
